- US Program – The Foundation supports organizations and initiatives that further the innovative spirit, educating and inspiring students to focus their education and careers on science, technology and invention.
- Developing Country Program – The Foundation incubates local inventors to help them realize their ideas. It also funds enterprises that design and disseminate technologies to meet basic human needs, increase incomes, and enhance environmental sustainability.
- Global Program – The Lemelson Foundation supports invention-focused projects and fellowships that are global in scope and impact.
- Additional Grants - The Foundation strives to empower and enhance the field of invention-focused philanthropy with grants and partnerships that inform and connect our community.
