Facilitating Invention and Innovation-based Indonesian Businesses
The Recognition and Mentoring Program (RAMP) in Indonesia was launched in September 2006. The program is a partnership with the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Yayasan Inovasi Teknologi (YIT) and Indonesian field partners.
RAMP Indonesia aids grassroots and student inventors in developing, commercializing and marketing their innovations, and offers access to more affordable technologies that enhance entrepreneurship and improve the lives of those in Indonesia living on less than $2 a day. The program facilitates the development of invention and innovation-based technology in the WEHAB fields (Water & Sanitation, Energy, Health, Agriculture, Biodiversity) through:
RAMPs provide:
- Mentoring – Information and mentoring from product development to business creation for innovators and entrepreneurs.
- Student Technopreneurship – Short-term programs for students on how to provide technological solutions to real world problems.
- Venturing – Providing financial alternatives (including capital) for business-based technologies as well as helping innovators and entrepreneurs access funding from local agencies, venture capital firms, and banks.
