Solutions to Critical World Problems

To foster solutions to the 21st century’s most critical problems and ensure that future generations worldwide enjoy a high standard of living, the Lemelson Foundation supports invention-focused projects and fellowships that are global in scope and impact.

  • Ashoka-Lemelson Fellowship Program The Foundation has partnered with social-entrepreneurship pioneer Ashoka on a three-year pilot effort to recognize and support a cohort of 100 invention-led entrepreneurs around the world.
  • Climate Change The Foundation supports invention-led activities to address the climate crisis, with funding focused on engaging key stakeholders to develop, introduce and deliver transformative technologies.
