Lemelson Assistive Technology Development Center

Lemelson Assistive Technology Development Center (LATDC) at Hampshire College in Massachusetts provides students with experiential education in applied design, invention, and entrepreneurship, focusing on universal design and the development of adaptive equipment for people with disabilities.

WGBH

The single largest producer of PBS prime-time programming, WGBH uses Lemelson Foundation funding to support Design Squad – a PBS reality television show where teens tackle fun engineering challenges. WGBH also implements the Mentors for Young Inventors program, which provides after-school invention mentoring for underserved youth.
