Aisha Bowe

(Aisha Bowe)

A community college pre-algebra course sparked Aisha Bowe’s interest in studying STEM, and led to a career at NASA and then as an entrepreneur. Bowe received a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, followed by a Master’s in Space Systems Engineering and an internship at NASA.

She moved from intern to Mission Engineer and Aerospace Engineer, working across many aviation projects. She also became a liaison for their Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program, sharing her engineering education and career journey on panels, leading visits to NASA facilities, and organizing related events and workshops for students to gain awareness of professional STEM opportunities.

After leaving NASA, she pivoted to entrepreneurship and founded STEMBoard in 2013. STEMBoard is a technology company that advises federal, commercial, and private sector clients on efficient solutions in data analytics and information technology.

Her continued passion for STEM education led her to establish LINGO, an ed tech company creating self-paced coding kits for students in middle school through college. The kits include projects that connect complex concepts to real-world topics in a gamified format, making it easier for students to gain technical understanding of foundational coding concepts, while strengthening their creativity and confidence.

In 2025, Bowe was a crew member for the historic Blue Origin NS-31 suborbital mission.
