Bilal Zuberi

Bilal Zuberi is the Founder and Managing Partner of Red Glass Ventures, a venture capital firm investing at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and the Physical World. Red Glass backs exceptional technical founders building high-impact, high-growth companies that are transforming critical industries. We invest at the earliest stages, from Formation through Pre-seed, Seed, and Series A.

Bilal brings over 17 years of venture experience, including 12 years as a General Partner at Lux Capital, where he led more than 65 investments, served on over 35 boards, and helped scale the firm to $5B+ AUM. His portfolio includes companies like Applied Intuition, Nominal, Nozomi Networks, Cloaked, Zededa, Fiddler, OpenSpace, Commure, Evolv, Ironclad, Frontera, Saildrone, DesktopMetal, and many others. Earlier, he spent five years at General Catalyst building its deep tech practice, and prior to that, was co-founder of a startup in the advanced materials space.

He holds a PhD in physical chemistry from MIT, under the guidance of Nobel Laureate Mario Molina, and serves on the advisory committee of The Lemelson Foundation. Today, he remains an influential voice in technology and entrepreneurship. He is a U.S. citizen and lives in Menlo Park with his wife and two children.
