Kara Miller is the host of “It Turns Out,” a podcast and YouTube show featuring great research from guests including AI expert Gary Marcus and ACA architect Jon Gruber.
Since 2021, Kara has written the “Big Idea” column for The Boston Globe and has been a frequent contributor to The Boston Globe Magazine. She runs Laurel Way Productions, which has worked with Harvard, MIT, and businesses on media production.
Kara has served on the advisory committee of The Lemelson Foundation since 2016. Since 2023, she has been part of the advisory committee for LearningWell magazine. She hosted the nationally-syndicated public radio program Innovation Hub, which aired weekly in six of the top-ten markets. Innovation Hub ran from 2011 to 2021 and won the 2021 Clarion Award for best Radio Talk or Interview Program. She holds a BA from Yale and a PhD in English from Tufts. She has taught at Babson College and the University of Massachusetts.
