For years, Kathy Green watched preventable mistakes happen in the chemical industry. To solve this problem, she created CargoCheck®, which helps professionals safely deliver chemical cargo.

The chemist and entrepreneur founded the company in 2020 and serves as its CEO. Green channeled her idea into a cloud-based software platform that provides information through the supply chain. From pre-shipment to delivery, CargoCheck®’s tools streamline communication across organizations, languages, and time zones.

Through her participation in the VentureWell Ocean Enterprise Accelerator program, Green realized it was the right moment to help ports improve data-driven safety measures. She leveraged  advances in technology to create smart transport tools and build a network of professionals working to make chemical transport safer.

“The reminder that customer discovery is a continuous process — not a milestone — helped me organize my time around what matters most: solving real problems for real people,” Green told VentureWell.
