(Mehdi Mortazawy)

Mehdi Mortazawy co-founded the med tech company Coredio with Yashar Vahedein to address one of the world’s largest healthcare issues — managing heart failure.

The company is advancing cardiovascular care through its AI-driven, non-invasive monitoring technology that pairs patient devices with healthcare provider systems to track heart health in real-time.

Coredio’s Cardiac Performance Simulation (CPS) platform integrates the company’s patented technology with patients’ existing wearable devices — like smartwatches — to deliver accurate measurements of cardiac output and blood pressure information.

The CPS platform creates a unique “twin” calibration that allows for continuous monitoring via clinical dashboard and mobile app. After patients are discharged, healthcare providers are able to intervene earlier and improve patient treatment, which reduces patient readmission and healthcare costs.

Coredio was part of VentureWell’s Aspire Medtech program, and has received funding from the National Institutes of Health and other sources to support continued development, distribution, and new partnerships to debut their innovative medical technology.
